Instructions for the
manual installation
of the mitred sink.
Cosentino does not recommend carrying
out this type of installation if you do not
have the right tools or the necessary skills.
In this case, use the first option.
You can order the Integrity sink model
with the mitred joint edge. If you have
any questions, please contact your local
COSENTINO Center.
1. Making the sink cut-out
in the worktop.
The worktop cut-out must be 2 mm less on
each side than the dimensions according
to the template supplied with the sink.

2. Making the mitre.
The machining of the cut-out perimeter and
the sink must be carried out using a CNC.
A suitable set of diamond grinding wheels
must be used to perform the mitre cut.
3. Cleaning the parts
to be bonded.
You must clean the two parts to be bonded
(the worktop and the edge of the sink)
with solvent or alcohol before applying the
silicone. Otherwise, the silicone will mix with
any residue left on these parts, making the
worktop and sink not completely sealed and
resulting in a joint with a different colour
than that of the worktop and sink.

4. Applying SoluMastik.
Apply the SoluMastik on the cut-out
mitred joint.
5. Fixing the sink to the worktop.
After applying the resin, fix the clamps or
jacks to tighten the sink to the worktop.
They must be tightened until as much resin
as possible is expelled, since any remaining
resin could be visible.
6. Cleaning the parts
to be bonded.
Clean a 10 cm strip around the top of the
outside wall of the sink and the worktop
with alcohol or solvent.

7. Filling the gap between pieces.
Fill the gap between the sink and the
worktop with resin. If this gap is not filled,
the worktop could break around the edge
of the gap. A fibreglass mesh must also be
placed all around the perimeter to reinforce
the joint between the sink and the worktop.
ATTENTION: Do not cover the overflow
hole with the fibreglass mesh.

8. Reinforcing the worktop.
In order to prevent breakage of the worktop
and to reinforce it, fix a wooden baton to the
wall, the distance between the units, on the
underside of the worktop.

9. Bevelling.
Once the sink is bonded to the worktop,
you must polish the remaining edge until
the entire outline is bevelled.
