2.To get started
Step 1
To start using your reader it is recommended to fully
charge the battery, as the device may discharge during
storage.
Step 2
Turn ON your reader by clicking on the central blue button
and start scanning microchips by clicking on the same
button.
Additional Steps for an enhanced scanning experience
Step 3
Download the "Datamars Pet Scanner Support" app on your
smartphone. The app is available for free on the Google
Play Store for Android devices and the Apple APP Store for
iOS devices.
Step 4
Open the App and follow the set-up and
pairing instructions.
The app will allow you to:
• Update the reader with the newer software version
• Look up microchip numbers in PetMaxx
• Share the recorded microchip numbers
• Synchronize date and time with your smartphone
• Change reader settings
Step 5
When the first synchronization is completed, keep using
your scanner to read microchip ID numbers. To learn

and explore the APP.
