5 Important instructions

Safety measures

Please note:
Before using the equipment for the first time please read the user manual carefully. It
contains important information concerning the installation, correct use and maintenance of
the equipment.
• The scale is not designed to be used in critical environments (CT, defibrillators).
• The scale must not be used in potentially explosive areas.
• Ensure that the scale can easily be disconnected from the mains
(socket is accessible).
• The scale must not get wet from underneath.
• To move the scale lift the device. Do not drag the scale along the ground. After
moving check leveling and adjust if necessary.
The manufacturer shall not be held liable if the following instructions are not observed: The
equipment is designed for use in buildings. The equipment complies with electromagnetic
compatibility requirements. Do not exceed the maximum values specified in the standards.
If you have any problems contact the BodyTel support. Only 60601-1 approved medical
equipment may be connected to the interface.
Warning: This device must not be changed without the manufacturer's permission. If the
medical device is changed suitable tests and checks must be performed to ensure safe
operation.
Caution:
The scale is subject to special precautionary measures regarding EMC and must be installed
and put in operation according to the EMC instructions in the accompanying papers.
Portable and mobile HF communications equipment can affect the scales if brought into
close proximity.
