The base becomes

5. Maintenance and cleaning

ATTENTION!
◊ Never immerse the product in water.
◊ Make sure the power points in the center of the base and in the bottom of the product
remain dry at all times.

5.1 Cleaning the product

1. Unplug the product from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the product from the base and allow it to cool.
3. Open the lid and rinse the inside with tap water.
4. If necessary, descale the product (see section 5.3).
5. Wipe the base and power cord with a slightly damp cloth. Always ensure that the plug
remains completely dry.
6. Wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth.
7. Dry all parts thoroughly with a dry cloth. Then allow the parts of the product to dry
naturally for about 30 minutes.

5.2 Cleaning the filter

1. Grasp the top of the filter and pull it upward.
2. Clean the filter with clean water.
3. Dry the filter thoroughly before replacing it.

5.3 Descaling

Depending on your water hardness, the product should be cleaned regularly. If the product
is not descaled regularly, the temperature control will not work as well, which can lead to
energy loss and overheating of the heating element.
1. Fill the product with cold water and add lemon juice.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil (see section 3.2).

Unplug the power cord from the power
outlet. Check the power connector and
pins for discoloration or deformation.
Stop using the product if the pins are
not smooth and clean. Do not attempt
to clean or repair. Contact Customer
Service.
Contact an authorized service center
for replacement.
