3.3 Overheating protection
The product is equipped with an automatic shutdown to prevent overheating of the heating
elements. In case of overheating, the heating elements will automatically turn off. If this
happens, allow the product to cool for about 20 minutes before using it again.
To prevent overheating:
•
Descale the product regularly (see Chapter 5).
•
Only turn on the product when there is enough water in it (between the MIN line and the
MAX line).
4. Troubleshooting
If the following problems occur while using the product, refer to the table below to find a
solution. If the problems cannot be solved using these options, please contact our customer
service.
Problem
The product does
not turn on.
The product
is connected
correctly but
the water is not
heated.
Water runs down
the outside of the
product or water
accumulates under
the base.
Cause
The product has no
power supply.
The overheating
protection is on.
There is too much
water in the product.
Water has been
spilled when filling or
moving the product.
The product is
leaking.
Solution
Make sure the device is plugged into a
suitable and working electrical outlet.
Make sure the product makes good
contact with the base by turning it
slightly.
The product has been left on with too
little water. Empty the product and let
it cool for at least 20 minutes. Then fill
the product with at least 0.5 liters of
cold water.
There is too much lime on the heating
elements. Descale the product (see
chapter 5).
Unplug the product. Completely dry
the product. Never fill the product
above the MAX line.
Unplug the product. Dry the product
completely. Keep the product straight
when filled with water.
Unplug the product. Dry the product
completely. Check for leaks. In case
of leaks, stop using the product and
contact customer service.
