■ All types of vegetables (including
broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage,
caulifl ower, kale and turnips) naturally
emit gases and will cause the vacuum-
packed bag to swell up after a few
days. Vegetables should therefore be
pre-frozen and stored in the fridge after
being vacuum packed.
■ If you are vacuum packing food or
objects with sharp corners and edges,
wrap them in soft padded material
beforehand so that the fi lm is not
pierced.
■ Always leave 5 – 7 cm of space
between the open end of the fi lm and
the contents to avoid overfi lling and
prevent the fi lm from slipping out of
the vacuum channel.
1. Place the device on the kitchen unit or
another suitable work surface. Ensure
there is suffi cient clear space on all
sides (at least 20 cm to the sides and
50 cm above).
2. Fully unwind the connecting cable and
connect the mains plug to a properly
installed plug socket. The mains
voltage must match the technical data
of the device.
The plug socket must be readily
accessible so that the connection to
the mains can quickly be isolated.
The control lamps for Pressure (14)
and Food (15) light up.
USING THE FILM CUTTER
(Picture D1+D2)
To ensure that the fi lm cutter (2) fi ts
securely and stably and to guarantee
reliable cutting, it is fi xed on the magnetic
back (7) of the vacuum packing device.
The cutter only works from left to
right, so slide the cutter to the left
before using it.

1. Unroll some of the vacuum fi lm (3) and
place it between the fi lm cutter and the
vacuum packing device.
2. Place the fi lm cutter on the two locking
lugs on the back of the vacuum
packing device and push upwards.
3. Pull out the length of fi lm you want
(hold the fi lm cutter fi rmly as you do
this).
4. Hold the fi lm fi rmly with one hand and
use your other hand to guide the cutter
in the direction of the arrow.
MAKING THE BOTTOM SEAL

1. Open the lid by pressing the two
release buttons (9).
2. Place one end of the vacuum fi lm (3)
over the sealing strip (10).
3. Close the lid and press it down until
you hear both locking catches (12)
engage.
4. Press the Seal button (16). The control
lamp lights up and the device starts
the sealing process.
When the control lamp goes out, the
fi lm is welded.
5. Press the release buttons and take out
the bag which has been produced. This
can now be used for vacuum packing
food.
VACUUM PACKING FOOD
(Picture F)
1. Place the food in the bag. Leave
suffi cient space from the opening.
2. Open the lid by pressing the two
release buttons (9).
3. Place the open end of the bag in the
vacuum channel (11). Make sure that
the bag lies as fl at as possible.
4. Close the lid and press it down until
you hear both locking catches (12)
engage.
