Connecting your device to a
computer
1. Connect the USB cable to the USB connector
on your MINI Navigation Portable.
2. Connect the USB cable to the USB port on
your computer.
Setting up myDashboard
1. Connect your MINI Navigation Portable to
your computer using the USB cable.
2. Double-click to open the myDashboard
Web page.

Registering the device
1. Connect your MINI Navigation Portable to
your computer using the USB cable.
2. From myDashboard, click Register Now.

4. Keep the original sales receipt, or a
photocopy, in a safe place.
Updating your software
1. Connect your MINI Navigation Portable to
your computer using the USB cable.
2. Open myDashboard.
3. Register the device.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

After you have installed myGarmin Agent, you
will be prompted to open myDashboard each
time you connect your MINI Navigation Portable
to your computer. myDashboard checks
for current software updates and provides
additional information about your device.

To receive one free map update (if available),
register your MINI Navigation Portable at
http://my.garmin.com within 60 days of
acquiring satellites while driving with your MINI
Navigation Portable. You are not eligible for
the free map update if you register by phone or
wait longer than 60 days after the first time you
acquire satellites while driving with your MINI
Navigation Portable. Go to www.garmin.com
/numaps.
Updating maps
1. Connect your MINI Navigation Portable to
your computer using the USB cable.
2. Open myDashboard.
3. Register the device.
4. Under Map Updates, click Update Now.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Downloading the owner's manual
The owner's manual for your device is available
on the Garmin Web site.
1. Connect your MINI Navigation Portable to
your computer using the USB cable.
2. Open myDashboard.
3. Click Manuals.
4. Click Download next to the manual for your
device.
5. Click to save the file to your computer.
