CORRECT USE OF THE PRODUCT
Polti Vaporella Quick&Comfort is intended for
domestic use as a steam iron in accordance
with the descriptions
contained in this manual. Please read these
instructions carefully and keep them. If
this manual is lost, it can be consulted
and/or downloaded
www.polti.com.
POLTI S.p.A. reserves the right to make the
aesthetic, technical and construction changes
it deems necessary, without prior notice.
Before leaving our factory all our products are
rigorously tested. Therefore, Polti Vaporella
Quick&Comfort may already contain some
residual water in the tank.
Only usage as detailed in this instruction
manual constitutes correct usage. Any other
use may damage the appliance and invalidate
the warranty.
WHICH WATER TO USE
Polti Vaporella Quick&Comfort has been
designed to function with medium-hardness
tap water between 8°f and 20°f. If the tap water
is very hard, do not just use demineralised
water but a mix composed of 50% tap water
and 50% demineralised water which is widely
available to purchase.
Warning: check the hardness of the water at
the technical office at your local council or
the local water supplier.
Never use rain water or water containing
additives (e.g. starch, perfumes), perfumed
water or water produced by other domestic
appliances, water softeners and filter jugs.
Do not add chemical, natural, detergent, or
limescale removing substances, etc. Do not
use Polti Kalstop.
1. PREPARATION FOR USE
1.1 Open the tank door and fill the tank with
water, using the provided pitcher (1). Hold the
iron at a slight angle and do not exceed the
MAX level indicator.
This step must always be carried out with the
power cable disconnected from the mains.
1.2 Close the tank door and rest the iron
vertically on the rest heel.
2. BEFORE IRONING
Before ironing an item of clothing, always
check the symbols on its label which show the
manufacturer's instructions.
Choose the most appropriate type of ironing
based on the following table:

High temperature – cotton, linen:

Divide the laundry

to the kind of fabric. Always start ironing
with the garments that require the lowest
temperature, in order to reduce the waiting
times and avoid the risk of burning the
fabrics.
3. IRONING
3.1 Ensure that the instructions in Chapters 1
and 2 have been followed.
3.2 Connect the cable plug to an earthed
power supply of the correct voltage.
3.3 Set the temperature adjustment dial (3).
The iron temperature light will turn on (2).
3.4 When the iron has reached the selected
temperature, the heating indicator light will
turn off.
3.5 The appliance is ready for use.
4. CONTINUOUS STEAM IRONING
Steam ironing can be selected by moving the
iron temperature adjustment knob to the •••
or the MAX position. The amount of steam
can be adjusted with the steam adjustment:
when moved forward, the amount of steam
will increase, when moved backward, it will
decrease (4).
When first using the steam, there may
be some drops of water leaking out of
the soleplate. This is due to thermal
stabilization. It is recommended that the
first jets of steam are not directed onto the
fabric that needs ironing.
The heating indicator light turns on and off
during use. This indicates that the electrical
resistor has started to work to keep the
temperature in the iron steady: continue
ironing normally.
