Independent Programming
Connecting the Power Pack to Central Unit I or II
Doubling the Addresses with a Second Selectrix Data Bus
The Translater
is a multi-function
different modes of operation:
- Programming locomotive decoders independent of
the central unit being used.
- Expanding the power supply of existing layouts with
Central Unit I (66801) or Central Unit II (66804) with
the Selectrix Power-Pack2000 (66807).
- Connecting of Function Decoders for accessories,
Track Occupation Detectors und Encoders A or B to
a second, synchronized
Progamming
Locomotive Decoders
The Translater enables to program Selectrix locomotive
decoders independent of the equipment and operating
status ofthe model railroad layout.
This allows users of the Central Unit I or II to make the
necessary adjustments
to the Selectrix decoders in the
locomotives / powered railcars.
Connecting
Power Pack to Central Unit I or II
The Selectrix Power-Pack 2000 can not be connected
directly to the Central Unit I (68801) or Central Unit II
(66804).To expand the powersupply on existing layouts
with these central units, the Translater can convert the
signalsof the Selectrixdata bus (Sx)to the power bus (Px)
signals required for the Power-Pack.
In this mode of operation the Translater creates the
si-gnals required for the connection of the Power-Pack
Second
Selectrix
Data Bus
On larger layouts the available addresses of the central
unit are possibly not enough for all the locomotives, turn-
outs, signals and track occupation detection blocks, etc.
The Translater provides a second, synchronized data
bus.The Function Decodersforturnouts,signals,etc.,the
Track Occupation Detectors for monitoring individual
areasof track and the EncoderA and Bfor atrack diagram
control board can be connected to this second data bus.
Mounting
The Translatershould be mountedinaneasilyaccessible,
dry location. Remove the cover after loosening two
screws.
Mount the unit with the 4 wood screws included
with the Translater. Replace and screw down the cover.
