IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• This instruction manual belongs to the
assembly and use. Read the instructions for use carefully, especially the safety instructions, before using the
tent. The instructions for use are based on the standards and regulations applicable in the European Union.
Please also observe country-specific guidelines and laws abroad. Keep the instructions for use in a safe place
for future use. If you pass the Rian hammock tent on to a third party, be sure to include these instructions for
use.
• The manufacturer is not liable for damage or accidents that may result from failure to observe these instruc-
tions for use, from modifications to parts or from the use of parts other than the manufacturer's original parts.
The warnings, cautions and instructions in this document cannot cover all possible situations - therefore the
operator understands that common sense and caution must be used. It is your responsibility to pass these
instructions on to any third party using this item.

INTENDED USE

Skandika
The Rian hammock tent is designed for camping outdoors, as a place to lie down and as rain protection. It is intend-
ed exclusively for private use and is not suitable for commercial use. Only use the Rian hammock tent as described in these
instructions for use. Any other use is considered improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury. The
Rian hammock tent is not a children's toy. The manufacturer or dealer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper or
incorrect use.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Warning! Accessories lying around, a blocked tent exit and
damage to the tent can lead to injuries or suffocation.
• Before each use, carry out a visual and tactile inspection of
all parts to ensure that they are undamaged. Do not use the
hammock tent if it is damaged or if there is any doubt about
its integrity.
• Do not allow children to play with the pack sack and acces-
sories. They can become entangled and suffocate while
playing. Make sure that there is always an escape route out
of the tent.
• Warning! If the tree slings or quick-release systems get into
the hands of children, they could strangle themselves. Store
the tree slings and quick-release systems out of the reach of
children. Do not allow children to play with the tree slings
and quick-release systems.
• Warning! Risk of fire and burns! The Rian hammock tent is
made of highly flammable material. Do not place any cooking
or heating appliances in the Rian hammock tent and do not
hang any lights near the walls or roof. Do not place any
switched-on electrical appliances (e.g. heaters) near or inside
the Rian hammock tent. Do not use any gas or other combus-
tion appliances near or inside the Rian hammock tent. Keep
the Rian hammock tent away from naked flames.
• Do not light a fire inside the Rian hammock tent. Keep the
hammock tent away from radiant heaters or stoves. Enquire
about the facilities and precautions in case of fire on the tent
site.
• Warning! Incorrect handling of the Rian hammock tent or
incorrect assembly can lead to injury and/or damage.

Skandika hammock tent Rian. It contains important information on
• Do not load the hammock tent with more than 120 kg (264
lbs). Ensure that only one person lies in the hammock at a
time. The suspension device must be properly installed and
checked for wear at regular intervals and replaced if neces-
sary.
• The Rian hammock tent may only be set up and assembled by
adults. Only erect it on soft ground. If you set up the hammock
tent at a lying height of over 600 mm, the surface must be
shock-absorbent.
• Fabrics and ropes are subject to wear and can become brittle.
Significant changes in colour may indicate this. Therefore,
check the hammock tent for resilience before use and stop
using it as soon as full resilience is no longer guaranteed.
Never leave children unattended in the hammock tent. Ensure
that the item is not misused as a swing, gymnastic apparatus
or climbing frame and that the above and outlined instruc-
tions are observed and communicated to all other users.
• Caution! You may trip over pegs sticking out of the ground.
Always insert the pegs fully into the ground.
• Do not use the Rian hammock tent if the plastic parts are
deformed, cracked, broken, chipped or otherwise damaged.
