SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

EN
EASY
For your own safety, we urgently recommend that for use, inspection, care and storage, you comply strictly with the product description.
INNOTECH accepts no liability for accidents which result directly or indirectly from using the PPE in a different way to that described in
the product description. The PPE must not be used outside its limits of use.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
A safety harness is an item of personal protective equipment, and it belongs to a single user.
Before first use, it must be adjusted to the user's dimensions.
It must be ensured that the harness sits correctly under the buttocks, and that the backplate is positioned between the shoulder blades.
The harness straps must sit as close as possible to the body, but not too tight, so that the user retains the maximum possible freedom of
movement. (Page 5)
Before first use, the user is recommended to find a quiet location to perform the adjustments of his harness for his wearing comfort. He can thus
ensure that the safety harness is the correct size and is adjusted appropriately. The anchorage eyes of the safety harness which are marked with
an "A" can be connected to the anchorage device. In very general terms, it is recommended to use back suspension wherever possible, because
this provides the best configuration for absorbing the forces generated by the user's body.
Suspension points without a marking must not be used for connecting to the anchorage device. During use, it is important to check all
attachments and adjustment components. A safety harness must be attached to an anchorage device by means of connectors/carabiner hooks
(EN 362).
The legibility of the labelling must be inspected regularly.
Ensure that work is performed in such a way that the fall height and the risk of a pendulum effect are restricted. For reasons of safety, before
every use you should ensure that in the event of a fall there is no obstruction to the normal performance of the fall arrest system (clearance
below the user's feet).
Before and during use we recommend that you take the necessary measures for a possible rescue. Extended suspension in a safety harness
after a fall can result in various physical injuries. It is therefore important that rescue takes place expertly, safely, and as quickly as possible.
This safety harness must be used only by trained, expert and healthy personnel, or under the supervision of a trained expert person.
Attention! Certain medical conditions may endanger the safety of the user: if in doubt, consult your doctor.
Be aware of the factors which could impair the performance of your equipment, and therefore also your safety. For example, these include
extreme temperatures (< -30 °C or > +50 °C), extended contact with natural factors (UV radiation, moisture), chemicals, electrical stresses,
torsion to the fall arrest system during use, sharp edges, abrasion, incisions, etc.
Before every use it is important to check the state of the safety harness: visual inspection to ensure the state of the harness straps (no incipient
cuts, burns, no unusual constrictions), seams (no visible damage), metal parts (no deformation or oxidation) and the good functioning of the
connections (blocking/opening). If there are deformations or in the event of doubt, then it is no longer permitted to use the safety harness.
After a fall, the device must not be reused, and it must be labelled "DO NOT USE" (see section "INSPECTION").

TECHNICAL FEATURES:

Harness strap: Polyester
Clasp material: Steel
Maximum rated load of the safety harness: 140 kg
Weight: 1.25 kg
PRODUCT SUITABILITY:
The safety harness must be used (EN 363) in combination with an anchorage device, as specified in the product description, in order to ensure
that the arresting forces during a fall are less than 6 kN. It is dangerous to assemble a fall arrest system for yourself, in which each safety
function may impair another. Therefore, before each use, comply with the recommendations for use of the individual system components.
INSPECTION:
The product has a safe working life of approximately 10 years after initial use; there is therefore no restriction on the storage period.
However, the working life may be extended or shortened, depending on conditions of use and/or the result of the annual inspection. In the event
of doubt, after a fall, or at intervals not longer than twelve months, the safety harness must be inspected by an expert who strictly follows the
manufacturer's inspection instructions.
CARE AND STORAGE:
Ensure that the safety harness does not come into contact with sharp-edged objects during transport, and store it in its original packaging.
Use soap and water to clean the safety harness. Then dry it with a cloth, and hang it up in a well ventilated space, so that it can dry out well.
Use the same procedure if the parts have become damp during use. Rub the metal parts with a rag soaked in Vaseline oil. Under no
circumstances use chlorine bleach or other cleaning agents. The safety harness must be stored in a dry, well ventilated and temperate space,
protected from solar radiation, heat and chemicals.
As part of your risk assessment, you must have a rescue plan before working at height to deal with any emergency that may arise.
