Before using

Read the instructions carefully. They con-
tain important information for the use,
safety and maintenance of the appliance.
Keep them in a safe place and transfer
them to a possible succeeding user. Only
use the appliance for the purpose men-
tioned in these instruccions. When using
pay particular attention to the following

safety advice.

Connect the appliance only to a shock-
proof socket that has been installed ac-
cording to regulations. The supply line
and power plug must be dry.
The cord must not come in contact
with any hot parts of the appliance.
Only use an extension cord in perfect
condition.
Make sure that the cord is long enough
and properly installed.
When in use the appliance has to
be put on the table, do not operate
it close to a wall or in a corner.
Do not use the appliance in the
outside.
If the following happens do not use
the appliance and unplug it immediately:
- the appliance or cord is damaged
- any defect after the appliance has
accidently dropped or something simi-
lar is suspected.
In these cases have the appliance
repaired.
Do not leave any empty pans in the
appliance during warm-up or ope-
ration.
Caution: the appliance will become

hot during use, scalding danger! Do not
transport the appliance when it is still hot.
Do not operate the appliance with-
out the grill top as the red-hot heating
element is exposed.
When grilling fat inevitably spits.
Therefore protect the table accor-
dingly.
Keep out of reach from children.
This appliance is not meant to be
used by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensorial or mental ca-
pacities or in absence of the necessary
experience and/or knowledge - unless
they are supervised by a person respon-
sible for their safety and from whom they
get instructions on how to use the appli-
ance.
Do not operate the appliance unatten-
ded.
Disconnect the appliance in these
situations:
- any malfunction during operation
- prior to cleaning and main tenance
- after use.
Do not immerse the appliance in
water.
In the case of misuse or wrong hand-
ling or incorrect repair no liability will be
taken for possible damages. Claims
under guarantee are also excluded in
such cases.
The appliance is not designed for
commercial purposes.
In order to avoid injury, any repairs
to the appliance as well as the exchange
of a damaged connection cord should
only be carried out by the manufacturer,
his authorised service agent or a person
having similar qualifications. Substantial
dangers for the user can appear from
inappropriate repairs.
