3.2. Commissioning
3.2.1. Insert cable manually
1. Position the drain cleaner approx. 50-60cm away from the drain.
2. With the drain cleaner turned off, disconnect the cable from the drum and run it into the drain. Push
the cable as far as possible into the drain.
3. As you insert the cable, you feel the cable slowing down and / or starting to squirm. Slowly continue
the cable until it reaches the blockage.
Attention: Make sure that the cable does not rake up outside the drain. This can twist, bend or
break the cable.
3.2.2. Break the blockade
1. If the cutting tool is jammed and the machine is still in operation, the cable will begin to wind up or
twist. In this case, slowly release the pressure from the foot pedal until the device stops working.
2. Put the switch in the "reverse" position, briefly press the foot pedal.
3. After a few seconds, take the pressure off the foot pedal and pull something on the cable.
4. Once the tool has released, you can bring the switch back to the "forward" position.
5. Continue working carefully without pushing the tool through the blockage.
6. Let the tool work through the blockage. It may be necessary to remove and clean the cable including
the tool before you can continue working.
3.2.3. Release jammed cutting tool
1. Release the foot switch and set the main switch to OFF.
2. Pull the cable out of the block. If the tool does not release, move the switch on the device to the reverse
position.
3. Hold the cable firmly with both gloves, press the footswitch for a few seconds, and pull on the cable
until it is free of obstructions.
4. You can then return the switch to the forward position and continue cleaning.
3.2.4. Retrieving Cable
1. Once the drain is clear, turn on the faucet or rinse the drain with a hose to rid it of dirt and debris.
NOTE: Pay attention to the water level. There may be more blocks further down the drain.
2. Set the switch to the "reverse" position and press the foot pedal. Get the cable to just before the exit of
the drain. Take your foot off the pedal and allow the cable to settle completely before removing it
completely.
WARNING! Do not pull on the cable while the cable is still rotating. Cable can spin around causing
serious injury.
3. Turn the main power switch to the OFF position, dry your hands and unplug the power cord.
