OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from inside and outside of the toaster.
2. Gently wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth or paper towel. WARNING: Never
immerse the toaster or its plug in water or any other liquids. It is NOT dishwasher safe.
3. Read all instructions and follow them carefully.

HOW TO USE

1. Ensure the crumb tray is pushed all the way in, then plug in the toaster.
2. Insert the food into the toasting slots. If using the Bagel setting, be sure to insert the bagel
cut side facing out; otherwise, the cut side won't brown.
3. Turn the Browning Control knob to select the desired setting. The higher the number, the
darker and crispier the results will be.
4. If simply toasting bread, press the lever all the way down to start toasting.
5. If reheating, defrosting or toasting bagels, press the desired button and then push the lever
all the way down. Each button will illuminate as soon as it is pressed.
6. When toasting has finished, the toaster will automatically pop the food up and the toaster
will turn off. If the Reheat, Defrost or Bagel button is selected, the food will pop up and the
toaster will turn off.
7. Lift the lever above the ready position to raise food higher for easier retrieval.
CAUTION: Beware of hot surfaces when removing food from the toaster. Never use metal
utensils to remove food from the toaster.
8. To stop or check food at any time, press the Cancel button.

SPECIAL SETTINGS

• Cancel: Use to stop toasting at any time. When the button is pressed, food will automatically
pop up.
• Reheat: Use to warm toasted or cooled bread. May also be used to warm toaster pastries.
Activates the toaster for 30 seconds, regardless of which browning setting is selected
• Defrost: Use to defrost and toast frozen foods such as bread and waffles. This button defrosts
and toasts simultaneously by increasing toasting time by 10%.
• Bagel: In Bagel mode, only one side of the toasting slots heat up. To ensure browning on the
cut side of your bagel or muffin, insert it with the cut side facing out.
