2. When finished using the Hector 7HD move the Battery
On/Off switch Battery Power Switch to the Off position
to save battery power.
3. The Battery Power Switch has no effect when the AC
Power Adapter is used with the Hector 7HD other than
charging the battery (above).
Using the Sleep Button
The Sleep Button on the front of the Hector 7HD will turn
the LCD Off, saving battery power.
1. Pressthe Sleep Button to turn on the LCD.The Power
Indicator LED will light green.
2. Pressthe Sleep Button to turn Off the LCD.The Power
Indicator LED will light red when the unit is in sleep
mode.
Using the AC Power Adapter
1. Plug AC Power Adapter into Mains power.
2. Connect the other end Of the Adaptor to the AC Power
Port on the Hector
7HD.
3. The 7HD will continue to use power even if the LCD is
set in sleep mode. If not being used unplug the Hector
7HD from AC power.

Using the Sun Shield
The
Hector
7HD
very useful when working outdoors.
1. To open the Sun Shield: Lift the Sun Shield from the
indentation on the bottom. It will swing upwards and
the spring-load side wings will pop into place.
2. TOClose the Sun Shield: Press the side wings towards
the face of the LCD.The top panel will drop into place.
Pressit gently to lock it in the closed position.
Removing
The Hector
7HD Sun Shield can be removed
face Of the LCD.
1. Pressupward on the bottom of the Sun Shield, towards
the top of the LCD.
2. The Sun Shield
Slide the Sun Shield slightly to the right to disengage
the tabs.
3. Lift the Sun Shield away from the LCD.
