SAFETY WARNINGS

Dear Customer, thank you for choosing one of our products. Your accessory has been carefully
designed, manufactured and tested in compliance with all the strictest regulations in force. Carefully
read these instructions for your own safety and that of all passengers. Keep the installation manual
of your accessory in your vehicle. Carefully read this manual before assembling and fitting the ac-
cessory as well as the load. Remember that you should always observe the legislation in force in the
country of destination.
INSTALLATION
• This accessory is compatible with all R-Bikes™ (two R-Bars™ should be fitted to mount it).
• Install the accessory carefully as indicated in the instructions booklet supplied.
• Check that none of the parts listed are missing. Do not install and use the product if any of its
accessories are missing. Do not modify or tamper with the accessory under any circumstances.
• Do not assemble or use the product if you have any doubts about how it should be assembled.
Should this occur, consult your local dealer.
• After fitting the accessory onto the vehicle, make sure that it is properly secured by pulling/
pushing it hard in all directions. If you can move it, that means that the accessory has to be fixed
more firmly.
• Repeat this procedure once the load has been placed onto the accessory. Remarks: Make sure
that the final fitting position of the product does not restrict the operation of the windshield wiper
(if any).
• Make sure that the tow hitch (if any) can be easily reached. Ensure that trailer can move at angles
properly (DIN 74058).
LOAD
• Before placing the load onto the accessory, consult the use & maintenance manual of the vehicle
to verify its capacity.
• Make sure that the load complies with the information in the use and installation booklet of the
R-Bike™ onto which the accessory will be fitted.
• Never exceed the load limit of the accessory.
• Place the load onto the product so that it does not protrude from underneath the vehicle loading
floor. Make sure that the load centre is as low as possible. Remember that you should always
observe the legislation in force in the country of destination.
• Put your surfboard or canoe upside down with the nose facing downward preferably. Make sure
that it does not slip off while travelling.
• Make sure that no part of the load comes into contact with the door of the vehicle and can
damage it.
• Before hitting the road, make sure that everything is properly fastened and tightened. On a regular
basis during the trip, check that straps, nuts, and bolts in general as well as the handholds of the
load are correctly tightened/bolted. Repeat the operation at regular intervals depending on the
type of road.
• Protruding load signals must be displayed to warn that the accessory is fitted. All appropriate
precautions must be taken so as not to pose a risk to other vehicles. Surfboards or canoes must
not cover any light devices (position lights), the visual signalling devices (brake, third light brake,
and turn indicators) and the vehicle number plate.
