device is trying to reset the time with the broadcast data. This can last a few

minutes!
ATTENTION: Reception in a radius of 1500 km from Franfurt/Main should be
trouble-free. However, disturbances may occur owing to the local reception position.
Buildings with tall metal elements and the vicinity of TV sets, PC's, cell phones, etc.
can disturb reception!
If the automatic setting is still not possible after 20 minutes despite the alignment of
the incorporated antenna, the reception position is too bad. Set the time manually.
Manual time setting
1. Press the MODE button (11). The time display flashes (13).
2. Set the exact time with the buttons (1 or 2).
3. Press the MODE button (11) again.
4. Enter the current date by pressing the buttons (1 or 2).
5. Press the MODE button again for the third time (11). CITY appears on the dis-
play.
6. Select the time zone where you are located (Germany = MUN) with the buttons
(1 or 2). Confirm your selection with the MODE button (11).
7. After a few seconds the time display appears.
Display Mode
You can choose which information to show on the display, i.e. time, date and time
zone. Select the desired display mode as follows:
• Press the SHOW button (2). The current display mode is shown on the display.
"-" = Function off. Only the time appears on the display.
"W" = the time and time zone appear alternately on the display.
"D" = the time and date appear alternately on the display.
"DW" = the time, date and time zone appear alternately on the display.
• To select a display mode, press the SHOW button (2) as many times it is nee-
ded to show the desired setting on the display (13).
After a few seconds the time display appears again automatically.
1. Shift the function selector (15) to "ON".
2. Select the desired frequency band with the band selector (6). FM = UKW; AM =
MW.
3. Turn the tuning knob (7) to tune in on the broadcasting station. You can read the
set frequency on the tuning scale (14). In FM mode you can improve reception
by using the extensible antenna (9). For AM mode the antenna incorporated in
the device is used. To direct this antenna, turn the radio or choose a different
position to improve the quality of reception.
4. Adjust the volume as you please with the volume knob (5).
