3.2. Commissioning

ATTENTION: Before using the device, you must be fully acquainted with all functions and be
proficient in the operation.

3.2.1. Release blockages

1. Please place the tool head at a distance of less than 150 mm from the pipe opening. If the
distance is greater, the flexible shaft can twist and knot. If the distance is too short, the
condition of the wave can be poorly observed. (Fig. 7).
Figure 7
2. Press the forward or reverse rotation button L and the speed switch slightly. Bring the handle
to the F position and the flexible shaft to the front. After releasing the blockage, move the
handle to the R position and remove the flexible shaft.
3. In the case of persistent blockage or clogging, the handle must be moved to the R position to
retract the shaft a bit. Then work forward again. Move the control lever forward and backward
repeatedly to excavate the pipe and move it through the corners. However, do not force it
through, otherwise the shaft will knot, break and cause serious injury.
4. If the blockage is too persistent, the following methods can be used:
Turn the circlip counterclockwise to get more tension on the shaft. Press the speed switch slightly
to observe the condition of the shaft. If the shaft gets caught, twisted or knotted, immediately
release the speed switch and stop the rotation.
Move the handle to the F or O position and work slowly as the blockage allows.
Regardless of whether the blockage could be released, turn the circlip clockwise and loosen
the shaft through the scale (see 3.1.4.).
5. If the shaft has tilted and can not retract, the forward or reverse rotation button must be set
to R and the shaft slowly retracted over the device.
Note: Pipe blockages are different. The operation of the device must always be adapted to the
given situation. If a blockage can not be removed or the shaft is tilted, ask the specialist for help.
Do not force the operation, causing unnecessary problems.
