MXT UXT - USER GUIDE
The MXT UXT extension features numbered pulleys and an arrow imprinted into the
steel to indicate the direction the rope should be looped. Always loop the sail pulleys
in the opposite direction to the extension pulleys so going from the top to the bottom
on the extension means you will always need to go from the bottom to the top on the
sail.
1. Set your extension to the setting printed on the tack of the sail and insert the extension
into the base of the mast.
2. Thread rope as shown:
a. Begin by threading the extension rope up through the pulley on the sail that is
furthest from the mast. (Bottom to top)
b. Pull the rope down and over the left roller (3) on the extension. (Top to bottom)
You don't have to feed the rope around the pulley, with this unique design you
can just pull the rope onto the pulley.
c. Thread the rope back up to the sail and around the middle roller.
(Bottom to top)
d. Pull the rope back down over the right-hand roller (6) on the extension.
(Top to bottom)
e. Then up to the sail and over the only remaining roller. (Bottom to top)
3. Thread the rope down through the extension cleat and apply downhaul until tack
fitting is aligned with the edge of the extension.
