DRAGONFLY - USER GUIDE
1. Set your extension to the setting printed on the tack of the sail and insert
the extension into the base of the mast.
2. Thread the rope as shown. Race and slalom sails should use the 6:1 technique.
Wave & X-Over sails where less downhaul tension is required can use the 4:1
Loop-Loop-Pull technique.
3. Apply downhaul until tack fitting is aligned with the edge of the extension.

HELPFUL HINTS FOR UXT AND MXT EXTENSIONS
• Tie off the end of the rope fixed inside the extension with a figure-eight knot, it is
easier to untie if necessary.
• For longer rope life, try not to pull the rope through the teeth of the cleat when
tensioning the sail. This is often easier if the sail is rigged with the cleat facing
upwards.
• For UXT never open up SS height adjustment ring and pull it off the side of the
base. Always slide it up or down to adjust the length of the extension.
• To release the downhaul place your foot against the bottom of the extension on
the side of the cleat and pull the rope up until it is free of the cleat. Slowly reduce
the tension and undo the downhaul completely before de-rigging the sail.
