3. CLEANING GLASS, WINDOWS
AND TILES
WARNING: To clean glass surfaces in
particularly cold seasons, preheat the
windows starting to steam from a distance
of about 50 cm from the surface.
3.1 Make sure that chapter 1 has been
completed.
3.2 Only for model Polti Vaporetto Diffusion
connect the lance to the appliance (it's
possible connect the lance to the flex in order
to reach parts that are difficult to reach, as
indicated in point 2.1) and to the Window-
washer accessory as indicated in point 2.2.
Only for model Polti Vaporetto First connect
the lance to the appliance.
3.3 Ensure that the steam lock on the handle
is deactivated (10).
3.4 Press and hold the steam trigger on the
handle (11) and steam the surface abundantly
to dissolve the dirt.
3.5 Only for model Polti Vaporetto Diffusion
wiping the window-washer frame over it to
eliminate the dirt, without steaming.
Only for model Polti Vaporetto First wiping
the surface with a dry cloth.
4. CLEANING UPHOLSTERY
(mattresses, sofas, car interiors, etc.)
WARNING: Before cleaning leather or fabrics
with steam, consult the manufacturer's
instructions and always carry out a test on a
hidden part or on a sample of the material.
Allow the steamed part to dry to make sure
that no changes in colour or deformations
have occurred.
4.1 Make sure that chapter 1 has been
completed.
4.2 Only for model Polti Vaporetto Diffusion
connect the lance to the appliance (it's
possible connect the lance to the flex in order
to reach parts that are difficult to reach, as
indicated in point 2.1) and to the Window-
washer accessory as indicated in point 2.2.
Apply the cloth to the Window-washer
accessory (16).
4.3 Ensure that the steam lock on the handle
is deactivated (10).
4.4 Press the steam button on the appliance
and steam the surfaces (11).
4.5 Only for model Polti Vaporetto First
connect the lance to the appliance. Ensure that
the steam lock on the handle is deactivated.
Press the steam button on the appliance and
steam the surfaces. Wiping the surface with a
dry cloth.
5. CLEANING BATHROOM
FIXTURES, GROUTING AND
KITCHEN WORKTOPS
5.1 Make sure that chapter 1 has been
completed.
5.2 Connect the lance to the appliance as
indicated in point 2.2. (it's possible connect the
lance to the flex in order to reach parts that are
difficult to reach, as indicated in point 2.1).
5.3 Connect to the lance, as explained in 2.2,
the accessory most suitable for the purpose:
• curved nozzle for reaching even more
inaccessible points
• round brushes recommended for removing
encrusted dirt from very narrow surfaces.
• spatula (only for Polti Vaporetto Diffusion)
for removing stubborn encrusted dirt
• Accessory for grouting (only for Polti
Vaporetto Diffusion)
grouting.
5.4 Ensure that the steam lock on the handle
is deactivated (10).
5.5 Press the steam button on the appliance
and steam the surfaces (11).
WARNING: Do not use the brass brush on
particularly delicate surfaces.
6. CLEANING FURNITURE AND
DELICATE SURFACES
6.1 Make sure that chapter 1 has been
completed.
6.2 Connect the lance to the appliance as
indicated in point 2.2. (it's possible connect
the lance to the flex in order to reach parts
that are difficult to reach, as indicated in point
2.1).
6.3 Press and hold the steam trigger on the
handle and direct the jet onto a cloth.
6.4 Use the cloth previously steamed to
clean the surface, avoiding prolonged use on
the same spot.
WARNING: Do not direct the steam jet
directly onto surfaces.
WARNING: Before cleaning the surface,
always do a test on a hidden part and see
how it reacts to the application of steam.
