You can program your remote controller to operate other
brands of video device.
@ Follow the procedure below to program a device code to
your remote controller and see the above illustration for the
location of the buttons.
1. Set the MAIN/SUB selector switch to "MAIN".
2. Set the Device select switch to an appropriate position
(VDP, VCR, TV or CABLE), according to the device you
are using.
3. Press the SET button.
The red indicator will light up for 0.5 seconds. All the
buttons will be disabled while the indicator is lit. Proceed to
the next step after the indicator goes off.
4. Enter a three-digit code for the device you wish to
control using the numeric keypad (0-9).
© Refer to the code list included later. For North American
Model, see from page 7. For other than North American,
see from page 11.
© When you press a numeric key each time, the indicator will
light up for 0.5 seconds. All the buttons will be disabled
while the indicator is lit.
© If you do not press any key for five seconds, input ready
mode will be cancelled. In this case, enter the code again.
5. When you finish entering the code, press the E (Enter)
button.
elf the input operation is completed successfully, the
indicator will flash twice with an interval of 0.5 seconds.
@ lf the input operation is not completed successfully, the
indicator will light up for two seconds. In this case enter the
code again.
® Refer to the remote controller section of the instruction
manual came with the unit for more information on how to
operate the remote controller.

If a device code is not programmed to the "TV" or
"CABLE" position of the Device select switch, you can
program another device code into one of them, so that you
can use the TAPE DECK-B/CD buttons to operate another
video device.
Set the Device select switch to "TV" or "CABLE",
whichever has no code programmed into it.
Press the SET button.
The red indicator will light up for 0.5 seconds. All the
buttons will be disabled while the indicator is lit. Proceed to
the next step after the indicator goes off.
. Press the E (Enter) button.
The red indicator will flash three times with an interval of
0.5 seconds.
4. Enter a three-digit code for the device you wish to
contro] using the numeric keypad (0-9).
5. When you finish entering the code, press the E (Enter)
button.
elf the input operation is completed successfully, the
indicator will flash twice with an interval of 0.5 seconcds.

Note:
© Some buttons on the remote controller may not function
depending on the device code you programmed.
Operation may be limited to some function buttons
depending on the video device you have set up.
Some device codes are programmed into VDP, V(R, TV,
and CABLE of the Device select switch before thepscoduct
