OPERATION
STARTING UP
BEFORE MOWING THE LAWN
Thoroughly inspect the area where the machine is to be used and remove all stones, sticks, wires, bones and
other objects that can be caught and thrown.
Before using the mower, always visually inspect the blades, blade attachment bolts and the machine in
general to make sure they are not worn or damaged.
Use it only if it is in perfect condition. Check the battery before using the mower, if it is swollen or shows signs
of damage or wear, replace it to avoid the risk of electric shock.
Replace worn or damaged blades and pins in sets to preserve balance.
WHEN MOWING THE LAWN
In terrain without slopes and normal conditions:
Start the machine according to the instructions described in this manual and move your feet away from the
blades. Never place hands or feet near or under the rotary blade. On rotary mowers, stand clear of the outlet
opening at all times.
The mower is intended to mow at the speed of a walking person, never run.
Always make sure both hands are in the operating position before starting.
Avoid using the mower on wet grass whenever possible.
Use extreme caution when reversing or pulling the mower towards you.
Stop the blades if it is necessary to tilt the appliance for transport when crossing surfaces other than grass and
when transporting the appliance to the area to be mowed.
Never operate the appliance with defective guards or shields, or without safety devices, e.g. deflectors and/
or catch basket, in place.
Never lift or transport the equipment while the engine is running.
Disconnect the battery before clearing blockages or unclogging the chute, before checking, cleaning or
working on the machine and after striking a foreign object. Inspect the machine for damage and make repairs
before restarting and operating it if necessary.
Never open the protective flap while the engine is still running.
On sloping terrain:
Do not cut on excessively steep slopes.
Use extreme caution when changing direction. Cut along the surface of slopes, never up and down.
If the machine starts to vibrate abnormally (check immediately), always cut slopes at right angles to the slope;
never cut up or down.
Always make sure to maintain good balance on slopes.
