First open the stopcock of the water supply.
Switch the machine on at the ON/OFF switch (Fig. 2-5). An audible signal is heard when the machine is
switched on and all the indicators light up briefly as a check that the LEDs are functioning properly.
The green READY indicator (Fig. 3-1) lights up when the water is circulating properly.
Place the mould container matching by size with the mould ring into the cradle (Fig. 2-3).
Place the crucible with the ingots into the crucible holder (Fig. 2-2) in the centrifugal arm with the casting
spout pointing towards the mould ring.
If the heating cycle is not to be carried out immediately, the machine can be switched off at the ON/OFF
switch.
The arm of the Vestacast is autoequilibrated type, this means, the weight of the casting ring holder is
equilibrated by the counterweight. Use the rings and holders in the following way:
Hoder n. 1 is used with rings 1X and
blue small.
Hoder n. 2 is used with rings 3X and
red.
Hoder n. 3 is used with rings 6X and
green.
Hoder n. 4 is used with ring 9X.
Hoder n. 5 is used with ring blue large
in the position of the picture.
Hoder n. 6 is used with ring blue large
in the position of the picture.
The two other holders are used with bigger rings (different
sizes and shapes).
