Back pressure regulators UV 7.5
1 Intended use
The overflow valve is a fitting designed exclusively for the automatic regulation of the inlet pressure of the
medium after installation in a piping system, without the assistance of additional electrical/pneumatic energy:
The compressive force of the inlet pressure acts on a control unit (diaphragm, bellows or piston) and is in
equilibrium with the force of a pretensioned spring, which the user must adjust on-site to the desired value within
the adjustment range of the valve.
The back pressure regulator carries out control without external energy and guides the medium without leaks.
The valve is designed and constructed for the conditions specified when the order is placed. The specified
design criteria on the nameplate must correspond to the actual operating conditions. If the operating conditions
or the application change, Mankenberg must be consulted without fail!
Use exclusively maintenance kits and spare parts from Mankenberg.
1.1 Field of application
» The valve is provided for use in enclosed rooms (covered, heated and insect-free areas).
» DN 15 - 50 nominal diameters
» PN 16 pressure stages
» -30 °C to 130 °C temperature range
» Media: Liquid, gas and vapor
» Vacuum-proof
» Leakage class: Soft sealing (leakage class V)
Temperatures above 50 °C entail a reduced pressure resistance. This must be considered for the corresponding
material as per the nameplate in accordance with the DIN EN 1092 standard. The pressure stage specification
refers to 20 °C.
1.2 Reasonably predictable misuse
The valve is not a safety valve, equipment part with safety function or a shut-off device.
Additional loads must not be applied to the valve. For example, do not climb onto the installed valve or the
connected piping.
1.3 Changes and modifications
The supplied valve must not be modified or converted. Conversions are a safety risk and are carried out at the
operator's own risk.
