7 Transport, handling and storage
» The valve is usually not stable. Handle the valve carefully so that it does not tip over during transport or
storage.
» During transport and storage, protect the valve against external influences such as impacts, moisture and
dirt.
7.1 Transport
WARNING
The valve is not stable
Risk of crushing injury from valve falling over or from its dead weight.
» Personnel must be trained to properly transport, secure, lift and lower the valve.
» In the case of a valve that can no longer be transported by hand, the harness must be
attached to the body (nozzle) at a suitable point. The harness must not be attached to
any attachments under any circumstances!
Use lifting equipment with a sufficient load-bearing capacity for this purpose!
» The position of the center of gravity and the exact weight are noted on the associated
technical drawing.
NOTICE
Danger due to external influences such as impacts, moisture and dirt
The moving internal parts of the valve can be damaged by impacts. Impacts, moisture and
dirt can impair the protection against corrosion.
Transport even packed valves in a way that rules out impacts.
NOTICE
Qualified personnel required
Personnel must be trained to properly transport, secure, lift and lower the valve.
7.2 Storage
NOTICE
Incorrect storage or inadequate packaging may result in damage.
Incorrect storage can cause corrosion damage.
» Adhere to storage conditions and storage period.
» Store the valve in its packaging exclusively, using the original packaging if possible.
» Protect from rain, moisture, sunlight and aggressive media.
» After storing the valve for an extended period, replace the complete maintenance kit!
Storage conditions
Storage temperature 15 to 25 °C.
Humidity (normal to dry) 40 to 60%.
