The term „water-resistant" or „waterproof" only applies to brand new
watches. Waterproofi ng is tested in accordance with DIN 8310. ATM (or
BAR) is the defi nition of the test pressure and should not be confused
with diving depth.
When swimming or diving into the water, higher pressures may occur
than the test pressure guarantee for your watch. When in doubt, remove
the watch fi rst.

The WATERPROOFING is not permanent. The seals of the watch age
and become brittle over time. Heat, cold, solvents and cosmetics speed
up this process.
Damage to the glass, the crown, the winding stem or the seal of the watch
usually leads to the loss of waterproofi ng as the penetration of moisture
into the watch destroys the movement and the dial.
It is therefore recommended that the watch is serviced to check seals and
waterproofi ng every one to two years.
The specifi ed water-resistance applies only with the crown being down.
Screwed crowns need to always be completely screwed down.
When under water, never pull out the crown or use the buttons on the watch!
After every battery replacement, please ensure that the water-resistance of
the watch is professionally checked and, if necessary, restored. Please do
not enter a steam bath or sauna whilst wearing the watch!
