Safety instructions
• This product is suitable for indoor application only.
• Put on the dust cover of fiber interface when not used.
• It is forbidden to stare at the TX fiber-transfer end with naked eyes.
Installation
• TP / PoE interface
Connect a TP cable from the 10/100/1000 Ethernet PoE device (PD) to the RJ-
45 port of the PoE switch. Please note: The PoE powered device should comply
with IEEE 802.3af.
• SFP interface
Slide the optional SFP module into the SFP slot and push until you hear a click.
Connect a fiber cable from the SFP module to the fiber network.
• Power
Connect the power adapter to the PoE switch and check that the Power LED
lights up. The LINK and ACT LEDs will light up when all the cable connections
are correctly installed.
• DIP Switch settings
Link Fault Passthrough (LFP)
The LFP function can alarm administrators when there is a problem with the
media link. When Link Fault Passthrough is enabled, the fiber / TP ports do not
transmit a link signal until they receive a link signal from the opposite port.
10M mode
In default state, the copper port works with 10/100/1000 Mb/s Base-T. When
10M mode is activated, the transmission rate of the RJ45 ports is limited to
10 Mb/s.
