Test preparation
1. Size of tested surface must be more than 100 cm² and thickness must be more than
50 mm. At least 3 zones must be tested.
2. The edge of the test zone must be at least 50 mm away from the structure edge.
The distance between the two test points must be more than 15 mm. The distance
between the test point and the reinforcement must be more than 50 mm. Use the wall
scanner to determine the reinforcement.
3. Roughness of the test zone surface must be less than 40 mkm that is equal to
the surface roughness of the concrete cubes used for calibration of the device. If
necessary, treat the surface with the grinding stone included in the delivery package.
4. Number of tests on the test zone must be more than 10.
5. Сoncrete strength check can be carried out either by testing cube concrete test
specimens which dimensions are no less than 100*100*100 mm or by results of
concrete strength tests of constructions.
6. When testing cube concrete test specimens, tests are carried out on the side surface
of specimens. The specimens must be pressed with 30 kN force.
Average concrete strength of construction is taken as a single unit, which is defined as
arithmetical mean of the concrete strength of the control zone.
Measurements
1. Press F1 to switch on the device.
2. Place the device so that force is applied perpendicular to the tested surface. Put 3
supports of the device against the surface.
3. Pull back the mechanism with force. When the impact is triggered, 3 supports must
adjoin the surface tightly.
4. Measuring result will appear on the screen.
5. Press F1 or make 15 impacts to process measuring results.
6. After calculation of average value, change the impact direction or material, if
necessary.
7. Measuring result will be stored in the memory.
Notes:
1. If the intermediate strength value is more than 99.9 MPa, "Out of range" message
will appear on the screen. The measuring result is not recorded.
2. In case of large scatter of data, when calculating average value, "Large scatter of
data!" message will appear on the screen. Repeat the tests in this area.
3. It is recommended to check operability of the device at least once in 10 days. Use
plexiglass strength reference included in the delivery package.
- Place the strength reference on a stable solid base;
- Select impact direction;
- Take a 15 impacts series of measurements.
The average strength indicated on the strength reference must correspond to readings
on the screen.
If the measurement result deviates more than the range indicated on the strength
reference, please contact the service center.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Preventive maintenance and control measurements are carried out by persons directly
operating the device.
- Keep the device clean and protected from impacts and dampness. Regularly wipe it
with a dry and clean flannel.
- When measurements are done, clean the sensor from material parts, dirt, etc.
- When low battery appears on the screen, switch off the device, open the battery
compartment, remove the batteries and replace them with AA batteries.
- It is recommended to switch on the device right before taking measurements and
switch off immediately after finishing measurements to extend battery life.
- If the device stops responding to key presses and does not switch off, open the
battery compartment, remove one of the batteries for a few seconds, insert it back
and check operation of the device again.
- In case of malfunction, claim about defects and contact the service centre.
Failure to observe the following rules may lead to electrolyte leakage from the
batteries and damage the device:
- Remove the batteries from the device if you don't use it for a long time.
- Do not use batteries of different types, with different charge level.
- Do not leave discharged batteries in the device.
UTILIZATION
Expired tools, accessories and package should be passed for waste recycle. Please send

Do not throw the device in municipal waste!
According to European directive 2002/96/ЕC, expired measuring tools and their
components must be collected separately and submitted to environmentally friendly
recycle of wastes.
WARRANTY
All CONDTROL GmbH devices go through post-production control and are governed
by the following warranty terms. The buyer's right to claim about defects and general
provisions of the current legislation do not expire.
1) CONDTROL GmbH agrees to eliminate all defects in the device, discovered during the
warranty period, that represent the defect in material or workmanship in full volume
and at its own expense.
2) The warranty period is 24 months and starts from the date of purchase by the end
customer (see the original supporting document).
3) The warranty doesn't cover defects resulting from wear and tear or improper use,
malfunction of the device caused by failure to observe the instructions of this user
manual, untimely maintenance and service and insufficient care, the use of non-
original accessories and spare parts. Modifications in design of the device relieve the
seller from responsibility for warranty works. The warranty does not cover cosmetic
damage, that doesn't hinder normal operation of the device.
4) CONDTROL GmbH reserves the right to decide on replacement or repair of the
device.
5) Other claims not mentioned above, are not covered by the warranty.
6) After holding warranty works by CONDTROL GmbH warranty period is not renewed
or extended.
7) CONDTROL GmbH is not liable for loss of profit or inconvenience associated with a
defect of the device, the rental cost of alternative equipment for the period of repair.
This warranty applies to German law except provision of the United Nations
Convention on contracts for the international sale of goods (CISG).
