Reference switch: In your measuring stage from Märzhäu-
ser Wetzlar, integrated references switches generate a con-
trol signal when they are switched, and thus the accur-ate
reproducible machine zero for the position correction.
Reference mark: Measuring systems from other manu-
facturers can be equipped with one or several reference
marks, which deliver a separate control signal when they are
approached. This control signal can also be used for setting
the machine zero for the position correction.
