11. Description of the cutting head PS85

The hydraulic cutting head PS85 is designed for cutting aluminium, copper and telephone
cables up to a maximum diameter of 85 mm.

Putting into operation

Press the lever to open the hinged cover
position with respect to the cable to be cut, close the hinged cover

. Bring the open cutting head in perpendicular
lock into place. The hydraulic connection
with the pump of the safety cutting system
is established through a quick coupling and
without loss of oil. Remove the dust caps
of the pump and of the hydraulic hose
and connect the nipple of the pump with the

coupling of the hydraulic hose. Then fit
the dust caps of the coupling and the nipple
into each other in order to prevent them
from getting dirty during the operation of
the safety cutting system. The cutting head
is ready for operation.

Attention:
When operating the tool,
make sure that the cutting head is per-
pendicular to the cable you are cutting,
that the cutting head is completely
closed and that the lever (B) is in the
correct position!
