Thank you for having chosen the Lexors Nova 4+1 radio control from our range. We wish you success with
your new R/C radio equipment.
Before operating the equipment please read these operating and in particular our safety instructions. If you
have not operated radio controlled models before, we recommend to team up with an experienced model
builder for help.
1. Safety Advice:
Building and operating radio controlled models requires technical knowledge, great care and in particular
safety awareness. Mistakes or carelessness during building or operation can lead to serious damage to
property or injury to persons. Work very precisely and treat your model with great care.
As manufacturers, importers and sellers of model building products we do not have any infl uence on whether
the models are assembled properly or operated with due care. We can only point out the dangers. Radio
controlled models are not children's toys. They should be operated by responsible persons. Particular care is
needed when operating a model aircraft.
Electric motors can suddenly start up when they are connected to batteries, because of mechanical or
technical defects or interference. This can also happen in particular when the receiver is switched on and
the transmitter is off, leading to damage and/or serious injury. Never stay in the danger zone of rotating parts
such as propellers and rotors.
Protect the radio control from dust, dirt and moisture. Never allow the components to be subjected to extre-
me heat, cold or vibration. Always check the equipment for damage before and after each use.
When using rechargeable batteries pay attention to the instructions of the battery and charger
manufacturers.
If several radio controlled models are being operated at the same location, take care to ensure that you are
the only person using your channel before turning on the transmitter. Extend the transmitter aerial fully and
fi rst turn on the transmitter, then the receiver. Then carry out a range and a function test. If in doubt, never
start your model.
Never operate your model in a manner which could endanger humans or animals. Never operate your model
on public streets, paths or places. You should not operate the radio control during a thunder storm.
Should you have any questions how to safely operate this equipment, contact your local hobby shop or
Ikarus direct.
2. General Description / Technical Data
Lexors Nova 4+1 transmitter
The frequency modulated hand-held transmitter provides the user with four proportional control channels in
PPM (FM) mode. Thus the transmitter is compatible with all commercially available receivers which operate
with this transmission system. The transmitter is supplied in the USA in 72 MHz for aircraft use only.
The servo-reverse switches directly on the transmitter allow reversal of the servo direction for 4 channels.
This makes servo set up simpler since the operating direction can be conveniently adjusted later. The two
controller joysticks are length adjustable to suit the operator.
The transmitter is powered by 8 AA (Mignon) rechargeable batteries and features an input socket for a char-
ge lead. The batteries can be recharged together easily using this socket.
