) Telescopic Aerial
Extendable aerial for VHF (FM) and SW (KW) capable of being
rotated and tilted.
(2) FM Stereo Indicator
Lights up when a VHF stereo broadcast is received, provided
the switch © is in the STEREO or SUPER STEREO position.
@) Record Indicator/Battery Check

Lights up when the record button (6 is pressed.

Flashes when batteries are low (set remains fully functional).
-—- Goes out when batteries are exhausted (the complete set of
batteries must be changed).
@) Tuning Scale
- @ Stereo Headphone Socket
With the 3.5mm
headphone jack plug inserted, the built-in
loudspeakers are switched off.
(6) MONO-STEREO Switch
With SUPER STEREO setting for artificially producing a more
pronounced stereo effect.

Pressing this button a second time opens the cassette com-
partment @.
@) PAUSE Button
Press to make short pauses during recording and playback.
Restart the tape by pressing the PAUSE button a second time.
@2) Mains Socket
For 220V, 50/60 Hz AC supply voltage (GB: 240V, 50 Hz).
@) Universal Socket
Input for connecting microphones or other sound sources (eg:
record deck with crystal or ceramic cartridge, or tape/cassette
recorder) to make recordings.
Output for playing back through an amplifier or for copying with
a second tape/cassette recorder.

Warning: In making copies of broadcasts, records, cassettes
etc. care should be taken not to infringe the third party rights
valid in the country concerned.
Oscillator Switch
(3 positions)
lf whistle is heard when recording mediumwave or longwave
stations, set this switch to another position.
(5) Loudspeaker Sockets
For connecting two extension
loudspeakers
(left and right
channels) with 3.5mm jack plugs.
