There must be no sand in the pump, otherwise components will be destroyed. Damage caused by
sand is not covered by the warranty.
Installation
Clean the aquarium before installing the pump. Dirt on the aquarium glass prevents correct
installation (dirt affects the grip of the suction cups). Slipping of the pump may damage it. To
avoid any noise or vibration disturbance and to ensure correct pump operation, the pump must
be mounted below the water surface (see fig. 1). To install the pump, first remove the cable.
Install the suction cups by inserting the rotating axle into the rear part of the flow pump (see Fig.
2). Submerge the pump completely in the water and follow the respective steps for attaching the
suction cups to the aquarium glass. Then the pump can be connected to the mains.
Attaching the suction cup
Place the suction cup in the appropriate position and make sure that the small movable lever is
not yet firmly pressed against the suction mount. If the pump is now in the desired position,
move the lever until it is pressed against the suction holder (see fig. 3). Now your pump will
stick to the aquarium glass without any problems.
Maintenance
Clean and maintain the flow pump and its parts regularly to prolong its life. To do this, proceed
as follows :
1) disconnect the pump from the power supply by carefully pulling the plug out of the socket.
2) take the pump out of the water. In the case of a suction mount, simply flip the lever so that the
suction cup can be released from the glass.
3) open the pump unit as shown in Fig. 4.
4) clean the individual elements carefully. When cleaning the rotor, use only a cloth for careful
wiping, do not use any rinsing or impregnating agents.
5) after cleaning, the pump must be reassembled in reverse order. Make sure that the two
grooves fit on top of each other and that the shaft is properly seated.
