operating, servicing or repairing this tool. Keep these

Air Hammer Safety
WARNING
Using damaged and incorrect hammer bits or accessories
can cause flying particles.
• Do not use chipped, cracked or damaged hammer
bits or accessories.
• Use only Snap-on air hammer bits and accessories.
• Secure air hammer bit and accessories with a
spring/bushing or retainer chuck.
• Never start the air hammer unless the bit is
contacting the workpiece.
Flying particles can cause injury.

Avoid contact with the sharp edges of the hammer bits.
• Keep body parts away from the sharp edges of the
hammer bit.
• Handle the sharp edges of the bits with care.
• Remove the bit from the tool before cleaning or
sharpening the bit.
• Always handle the bits by grasping the bit shank.
Never grasp the sharp edge of the bit.
• Operate the air hammer with the bit pointing away
from your body.
Contacting the sharp edge of the bit can cause injury.
Installation
Screw universal retainer chuck completely on threaded
end of air hammer barrel.
Disconnect air supply before changing hammer bits.
When inserting the hammer tool bit (accessory) into the
retainer chuck, follow the procedure described below.
