4.0 Maintenance

The grooving machine is virtually maintenance-free. The roller
bearings and gear box need not to be lubricated.
The air inlet and outlet should be blown out from time to time to
avoid clogging. Failure to do so may result in stress being put on
the machine by overheating.
If the brushes are to be replaced, the motor housing may be
opened only by qualified service-personnel. Subsequent moun-
ting of the new brushes requires specialist knowledge.
After approx. 300 hours in order, the machine has to be controlled
by qualified service-personnel. If the carbon brushes have a
length less than 5 mm, they have to be replaced by genuine new
ones.

5.0 Use

To create a groove with the desired depth, the working depth of
the grooving machine parquet should be adjusted as follows.
5.1 Adjusting the grooving depth (Picture 1)
Disconnect clamping screw
Turn the thumb screw (A) until the point of screw (B) at
the scale (C) shows the required value.
Tighten clamping screw
Take care to do a test prior to starting your groove there
by guaranteeing that the machine is at the correct depth.
5.1 Use (Picture 2)
Position the machine with roller (G) in the joint.
Locate guide roller (E) in the joint also.
Bevore starting the motor with switch (F), release with
button (G).
Push down slowly to the required grooving depth.
Push the machine forward slowly.
The speed at which the groove can be done will vary
according to the material being cut as well as the depth.

Make sure that the machine locks into its upper rest when
you release the handle. Other-wise you might cause an
accident and eventually damage the blade. Always use a
new, sharp blade. Blunt blades will give unsatisfactory
results and will put stress on the machine.
