Note:
The lateral surface of the scale drum and the scanning area of the scanning head must not come into contact with magnetic or magnetizable components.

Tools and screws can be tested for potential magnetization by means of a HEIDENHAIN pole sensor foil (ID 392648-01), for example. The foil shows whether
the magnetization of the tools or screws is too high.
Achtung:
Die Mantelfläche der Teilungstrommel und die Abtaststelle am Abtastkopf darf nicht mit magnetischen oder magnetisierbaren Bauteilen berührt werden.
