tions. The LED screen (3) will show the last
browning level used (level 5 initially).
3| Insert the bread slices into the bread slots.
The slices should not be thicker than 2.6 cm
so that they do not jam. Place small slices
next to one another in an upright position
in the bread slot so that it is easier to take
them out after toasting.
4| Select the desired functions. Selectable
functions are dimmed, then fully lit when
selected. Some are combinable. It is the
case of Defrost (11) and Bagel (10), or Bagel
and Reheat (8). With the help of the rotary
knob (5), subsequently choose the brown-
ing level. Press the knob to confirm your
choice.
5| The lift will automatically center the slices in
the heating chamber (2). The toasting pro-
cess then begins. It can be followed thanks
to the countdown on the LED screen (3).
6| Once the toasting time has finished, the
toasting process ends automatically and the
finished toast is automatically raised from
the bread slot for removal.
6| NOTES ON THE BROWNING
LEVEL
If the toast is too light in colour, select a higher
browning level. If it is too dark, set the control
knob to a lower level. The figures 1 to 12 serve
only for orientation purposes. The higher the
setting, the darker the browning level.
The toasting result may vary at the same setting
depending on the type, size, moisture and thick-
ness of the bread slices. Therefore, select a lower
setting when toasting less moist bread, smaller
slices or only one slice.
Acrylamide is generated during excessive
browning. Excessive browning of the toast
should therefore be avoided.
6.1| INTERRUPTING THE TOASTING
PROCESS
Press the rotary knob (5) to interrupt the toast-
ing process.
6.2| BAGEL FUNCTION/SINGLE-SIDED
TOASTING

bread will only be toasted on its front side.

Press this function (11) to extend the toasting
cycle to toast frozen bread.
6.5| CHECK UP FUNCTION
This function (9) can be pressed at any point of
the toasting process. It will pause the process
and the motorized lift will gently lift the toast
for you to control the browning progress. You
can then:
Click again on the symbol to bring the
toast back in the heating chamber (2) and
resume the toasting process.
Click on the rotary knob/stop button (5) to
interrupt the toasting process.
Turn the rotary knob (5) to add or remove
