BEFORE THE FIRST USE
·
Remove all packaging materials and any promotional stickers.
·
Wipe the non-stick baking plates and the outside of the appliance clean with a soft, damp cloth.
·
Make sure the baking plates and the appliance are completely dry before use.
·
At the first use, grease the baking plates with a little vegetable oil, butter or margarine.
When turning on the appliance for the first time, there may be some smoke development and a specific
odour during a short period of time. This is normal.
USE
1.
Start with a closed appliance.
2.
Plug in the sandwich maker. The orange light will go on and the appliance will start to heat up
immediately. Let the sandwich maker heat up until the green light goes on. At that point, the
appliance has reached the right temperature.
3.
Open the lid and place the sandwich on the bottom plate.
TIP: To obtain a golden brown colour, you can spread some butter on the outside of the sandwich.
4.
Close the lid. Be careful, as there may escape steam from the sides of the sandwich maker. Make
sure that there are no body parts coming into contact with the hot steam.
5.
Seal the lid with the safety lock clip.
6.
The ideal baking time depends on your personal taste and on the kind of bread and sandwich filling
you are using.
7.
The thermostat will switch on and off to keep the baking plates at the right temperature. This also
prevents overheating. The operation of the thermostat will be indicated by the green temperature
light, that will also go on and off accordingly.
8.
When the sandwiches are ready, open the lid and take out the sandwiches using a thermoplastic or
wooden spatula. Never use any metal objects, since they can damage the non-stick coating.
