If there is a large deviation in the lateral alignment of the wooden slats, you
can align them with a tapping block. Then place the outer seat back on its
base and align the slats in the rear area. You can then tighten the screws.

Note: Resin pockets are cavities filled with resin in the trunks of resin-rich
woods (for instance, spruce, pine, larch). If these cavities are opened when
the wood is sawed or sliced, the sticky resin leaks out. You can easily wipe
this off with a cloth soaked in acetone.
