2. Safety
2.1 Permitted use
Components for flat roof drainage serve exclusively to drain
precipitation water from used and unused flat roofs into the
associated drainage system of the building.
o All requirements for the installation site must be met.
o Install only as described in the installation instructions.
o Always dimension the drainage system according to the
calculation certificate.
o Process the components only with permissible tools depending
on the materiality. Afterwards, treat against rusting if necessary.
For stainless steel, only use tools that were previously used
exclusively for stainless material.
o Construct used roof surfaces in the waterproofing or utility
layer level with a slope of ≥ 1 %.
o Always use a suitable drainage mat in the case of a chippings
bed. Otherwise, connect the drainage directly with a spur
channel to the drain.
o Always place the feet of drainage posts and stilt supports on
protective layers. Select protective layers depending on the
application class and material compatibility.
2.2 Non-permitted use
Warning!
Danger from non-permitted use.
Non-permitted use of the drainage may result in leaks
and even inadequate drainage of the building, resulting
in structural overload.
o Never carry out unauthorised modifications to the
drainage system.
o Never build over drainage grates.
2.3 Workforce requirements
Warning!
Risk of accidents if the workforce is insufficiently
qualified
If work is carried out by insufficiently qualified persons
there is a risk of accidents.
o Only allow persons to carry out
the qualifications indicated below.

leaks and even inadequate drainage of the
building, resulting in structural overload.
o Only use spare parts which are approved by
the manufacturer.
The assembly location must meet the following
requirements:
o The assembly location must be adequately cordoned off.
