Security advices
Faulty transducer potentionally create wrong measurement results. To prevent from
this periodically plausibility checks must be forseen. A well defined master piece to
check the transducer functionality shall be used.
Maintainence
Periodical check
To assure the transducer functionality and its measuring ability, every year the device
should be checked. Properties to be verified are
•
a well mechanical behaviour
•
the main functionalities, measuring capability and the communication
•
metrology abilities, mainly total error and repeatability
This check can be done by either the manufacturer or a well trained and equipped
metrology laboratory.
M2.5 tip change
When in application the tip must be tighten. For the tip change the following steps
shall be processed
•
Push back the bellow by holding the front ring with your fingers and moving this
towards the casing. You will see two areas on the shaft
•
Hold with the supplied special wrench the shaft
•
Release the tip with a plier
•
Change the tip
•
Tight the new tip with a plier
•
Bring back the bellow to its initial position. Keep attention to not twist it and that
all wrinkles are properly formed
