3. Press the primer unit button 7 times to prime the carburettor. Fig.13
4. Hold on to the machine firmly with one hand on the handle to maintain control of the
the machine during start-up.
5. Pull the starter cord slowly for 6 - 15 cm until you feel some resistance, then pull it hard a
few times until the engine starts. Fig.14
ATTENTION
To avoid breaking the starter cord, do not pull it out to its full length or let it slide along the edge of
the cable guide hole. Release the starter gradually to prevent it from flying back uncontrollably.
6. When the engine is ready to start, disengage the starter by turning the handle
<ON> Fig.15.
7. Pull the starter cord again and turn the throttle (4) all the way up until the engine starts as
normal.
8. Allow the engine to idle for at least 1-2 minutes to warm up before using the machine.
ATTENTION
Repeatedly pulling the starter cord with the choke engaged can flood the engine and make
it difficult to start.
If the engine has been flooded, remove the spark plug and gently pull the handle on the starter
cord to remove excess fuel; then dry the spark plug electrodes and replace it on the engine.
