− check that there is no one within at least 15 metres of the machine's working
radius;
− Do not direct the silencer and thus the exhaust gases towards flammable
materials.
7) Do not change the engine governor settings or rev up the engine.
8) Don't overload the machine and don't use a small machine for heavy work. Using the
right machine will reduce the risk of hazards and improve the quality of work.
9) Ensure that the machine does not come into contact with foreign objects and any
flying dirt and dust thrown up by the air; do not direct the air jet towards people,
animals, windows/glass, cars, property, etc.
10) Never insert objects into the vacuum inlet (when used as a leaf vacuum) and avoid
sucking in large objects that can damage the rotor.
11) During use, keep hands well away from the intake grille and air outlet and do not
block the air vents.
12) Stop the engine:
− when installing or removing accessories for blowing or collection:
− when the machine is left unattended;
− before refuelling;
− during transport between work areas.
13) Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug cable:
− before cleaning, checking or working on the machine;
− after sucking in a foreign object. Inspect the machine for any damage and
make repairs before starting the machine again;
− if the machine starts to vibrate abnormally;
− when the machine is not in use.
14) To avoid the risk of fire, do not leave the machine with a hot engine on leaves, dry
grass or other flammable material.
D) MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
1) Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tightened to ensure the equipment is in safe
operating condition. Routine maintenance is essential for safety and to maintain a
high level of performance.
2) Do not perform any work on the machine that is not described in this manual unless
you are properly trained and have the correct tools.
3) Do not store the machine with fuel in the tank in an area where fuel vapours can
reach an open flame, spark or strong heat source.
4) Let the motor cool down before storing it in a locked room.
5) To reduce the risk of fire, keep the engine, exhaust silencer and fuel storage area
free of sawdust, branches, leaves or excessive grease; never leave waste containers
in the storage area.
6) If you need to empty the fuel tank, do it outdoors when the engine has cooled down.
7) Wear work gloves when performing all types of maintenance.
8) For safety reasons, never use the machine with worn or damaged parts. Damaged
parts must be replaced and must never be repaired. Only use original spare parts.
Parts that are not of the same quality can seriously damage the equipment and
compromise safety.
