INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PRODUCT'S PRESENTATION
This tool is designed to perform cutting tasks in wood
and wood-like materials. It can be used to make bevel
cuts, where an inclined cut over the workpiece surface
is required, miter cuts, commonly used for joints that
form an angle of 90º, as well as compound cuts, where
a simultaneous angle cut on the edge and front surface
of the workpiece is required.
It comes equipped with a dust extraction bag, a laser
guide, a spanner for the blade's insertion and removal,
and a clamping vice for the workpiece. Moreover, it has
a safety button to activate the trigger switch and pre-
vent an accidental starting of the tool.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all ins-
tructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instruc-
tions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious injury.
• Check for breakage of parts, damage to switches
and any other conditions that may affect its ope-
ration.
• Do not operate the tool in the presence of flam-
mable liquids, gases or dust.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry and tighten long hair.
• Avoid an accidental starting. Disconnect the bat-
tery from the tool and place the switch in the loc-
ked or off position before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing the tool.
• Keep the tool and its handle dry, clean and free
from oil and grease.
• Always wear eye and respiratory protection.
• Hold the tool by the insulated grip surface when
performing an operation where the tool may come
in contact with the hidden wiring. Contact with a
"live" wire will make exposed metal parts of the
tool "live" and shock the operator.
• Make sure all keys and adjusting wrenches are re-
moved from the tool before switching it on to avoid
them to fly away at high velocity.
• Do not use the miter saw with abrasive wheels to
cut ferrous materials. Only use the miter saw to
cut wood.
• Workpieces should be securely clamped whene-
ver possible, or held against the fence and the
table.
• Never place your hand close to the cutting area.
You should keep them at a minimum length of
100mm from either side of the saw blade, specia-
lly while reaching behind the fence with the blade
rotating.
• Never start the saw with the blade contacting any
surface to prevent the tool to bounce and avoid
any body injury.
• Do not contact the workpiece until the blade has
reached its full speed.
• Always let the miter saw to come to a complete
stop after cutting and hold the saw head down be-
fore extracting the material being cut.
• Never place your hands in the cutting line of the
saw blade.
• Always clamp a bent material with the outside dis-
torted face towards the fence and make sure there
is no gap between the workpiece, fence and table.
• Always set the adjustable fence when changing
the bevel or miter angle setting so that it does in-
terfere with the blade or guarding system.
• You must properly support workpieces which are
bigger than the table top.
• Do not attempt to free a jammed blade or workpie-
ce before first switching off the miter saw.
• When making an incomplete cut, or when relea-

down, hold the handle firmly.
