4. Recommendations
To ensure the proper operation of the pump, it is important to comply
with the following recommendations:
The pump should not operate with the delivery tap completely closed
(except for electronically controlled pumps)
The pump must never be allowed to run dry
• The diameter of the discharge hose must not be less than the
relative outlet diameter of the pump. The longer the discharge
hose, the bigger the diameter of the hose should be.
• Make sure the pump has a stable position in the tank.
• Make sure the main power connections are not subjectable to
flooding
Maintenance and cleaning
The pump does not need any routine maintenance. If in an occasion
the strainer is clogged or the impeller is blocked, make sure the
power supply is disconnected and use gloves to protect your hands
when removing the blocking. To remove the blocking you have to
remove the strainer. Unscrew 3 bolts at the bottom of the strainer,
unscrew the 3 studs. Remove the parts and inspect / clean impeller.
When ready mount everything back in position by following above
steps in reverse order.
If for any occasion the pump doesn't run for a long period of time,
clean the pump thoroughly, make sure it is dry and prevent for rust
formation.
