Read the complete user manual before carrying out the installation and activating the system. Keep
the manual for future reference.
1. DESCRIPTION
This is a high-quality, adaptable and energy-efficient luminaire with a clean design. With its homogeneous
lighting effect, the lamp ensures superior lighting in all conditions. As the lamp is equipped with a built-in HF
sensor, it only switches on when necessary.
As soon as someone is detected, the light is switched on daylight-dependent. The lamp only switches on once
the set daylight condition (twilight level) is no longer reached and remains active as long as human movement
is detected.
This manual applies to the following lamp types:
Lamp or LED type
Lamp with E27 fitting
LED 10 W
LED 22 W
Colour temperature LED
Warm white 3,100 K
Cold white 6,400 K
Lampshade material
Glass
Plastic
These lamp types are also available without the built-in HF sensor (see reference numbers 352-0865x and
352-0866x).
2. USE
Suitable for landings, corridors, hallways and sanitary areas.
Please note that the HF sensor covers a different detection area with ceiling (see fig. 1a) or wall mounting (see fig. 1b).
For outdoor use (see fig. 3) please bear in mind that the HF sensor registers all movements. Movements of
hedges, leaves, raindrops and snowflakes may cause the sensor to switch on incorrectly.
It is not recommended to set up the sensor close to a street. Passing vehicles up to 20 m away may activate
the sensor.
The light source of this luminaire (352-02761, 352-02463, 352-02765, 352-02765, 352-02766, 352-02767,
352-02768) is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life the whole luminaire shall be replaced.
3. OPERATION
The HF movement sensor actively emits high-frequency electro-magnetic waves (5.8 GHz) and responds to
changes in the waves echoed by objects. If the sensor detects something, it switches on the light. After the
final detection, the sensor switches off the light after the switch-off delay (approx. 10 s to 5 min) has lapsed.
The sensor can also detect movements through walls, doors and glass.
As the detection is the result of echoed waves (see fig. 1c), the detection range changes according to the
mounting position. The speed and the type of object (a person, vehicle ...) strongly influence the detection range.
Before putting the lampshade back, check that the METER potentiometer for the detection range per metre is set
optimally. By using the protective metal brackets on either side, the sensor can be protected from interference
waves (see fig. 2). Take this into account while mounting.
4. MOUNTING
1. Open the lamp by gently turning the lampshade anti-clockwise.
2. Insert the power supply cable into the flexible membrane entry at the bottom of the base (see fig. 5d).
3. Mark the drill holes on the ceiling or wall and drill the holes the same size as the plugs provided.
4. Firmly press the plugs into the drill holes.
5. Attach the base against the ceiling or wall (see fig. 4).
6. Connect the wires as shown in the wiring diagram in fig. 7 (also see § 5).
7. Set the desired settings for the HF sensor (also see § 6).
8. Reposition the lampshade onto the base, turning clockwise and check if the shade is firmly in place.
5. WIRING
Connect the detector as shown in the wiring diagram in fig. 7.
Conductor
Neutral conductor
Earthing
It is recommended to pass additional load through an external relay.
An N.C. push button or switch (to be ordered separately) can be connected for permanent lighting (see fig. 7).
6. CONFIGURATION
6.1. Light sensitivity
Using the LUX potentiometer, you can set the threshold value of the twilight switch continuously ð (daytime
mode, 2000 lux) and ƒ(night mode, 10 lux) (see fig. 5c). In automatic mode, the light is only switched on once
the set threshold value is reached.
6.2. Switch-off delay
Using the TIME potentiometer, the switch-off delay is set between ±10 s to 5 min (see fig. 5a). The switch-off
delay determines the length of time the light stays on after the final movement in the detection area.
6.3. Detection range
Using the METER potentiometer, the detection range of the detector is set (approx. 1 m – 8 m diameter) (see fig. 5b).

9. WARNINGS REGARDING INSTALLATION
• The installation should be carried out by a registered installer and in compliance with the statutory regulations.
• This user manual should be presented to the user. It should be included in the electrical installation file,
and it should be passed on to any new owners. Additional copies are available on the Niko website or via
the Niko support service.
• During installation, the following should be taken into account (non-exhaustive list):
- the statutory laws, standards and regulations.
- the technology currently available at the time of installation.
- this user manual, which only states general regulations and should therefore be read within the scope
of each specific installation.
- the rules of proper workmanship.
This product complies with all of the relevant European guidelines and regulations. If applicable, you can find

Solution
- The threshold value was not yet reached. Increase the light sensitivity
using the LUX potentiometer (in the direction of ƒ)
- Increase the detection range using the METER potentiometer
- Check the lighting and the fuse
- The threshold value was reached. Lower the light sensitivity using the
LUX potentiometer (in the direction of ð)
- Decrease the detection range using the METER potentiometer
- Check detection area for causes of incorrectly switching on (movement
of plants, animals, etc.)
