Congratulations for the purchase of the AccuManager20 Battery
Charger! This new Super-Fast-Charger enables the recharging of
rechargeable Nickel-Cadmium / Nickel-Metal-Hydride and RAM™
(Rechargeable-Alkaline-Managanese) batteries in one unit at the
same time. One to four AAA, AA, C, D and two 9V batteries can be
charged in any combination of sizes and battery chemistry. The
AccuManager20 automatically recognizes the battery type. The main
technical feature is two proprietary micro-controllers that regulate and
monitor the most important battery characteristics during the
recharging process.
Recharging of Nickel-Metal-Hydride,
Nickel-Cadmium and RAM™batteries:
As soon as the AccuManager20 is powered and the rechargeable
batteries are placed in the compartments, the charging process is
automatically triggered. Then communication between the batteries
and the charger starts. Initially, the LED's are on for 3 seconds (Battery
Diagnosis). During this time, the main battery parameters are
recorded. The appropriate charging algorithm for each battery
chemistry is defined. After this initiation phase, the LED'S begin to
blink, indicating that the charging process has started.
The end of the charging process is reached when the corresponding
LED is constantly on.
