5 Monitoring (very important!)
WARNING: Do not use lashing straps if they show signs of cracking or chafing.
Always check the lashing strap for damage before using it. Stop using the lashing strap

immediately if the strap itself or the metal parts are damaged.
Carefully check soiled straps or straps that have been contaminated with corrosive or other

materials that may damage them. You may have to ask the manufacturer to check them.
Have the lashing straps and all components checked by an expert at least once a year.

Further expert checks may be required from time to time based on the conditions of use
and operational circumstances.
6 Using the product
6.1 Before each use
Check the lashing strap before use. Never use straps or ratchets that are frayed, cut or

damaged.
Do not expose the product to temperatures above 120 °C.

Strictly observe the manufacturer's specifications.

Failure to follow the safety precautions may cause severe damage to the product, property

and personal injury.
6.2 Use
Important:
– Do not use for lifting!
– The manufacturer's specifications must be strictly adhered to! In case of improper use
of the lashing strap, there is a risk that the object to be transported is not adequately
secured.
– WARNING: Protect the lashing strap from sharp edges!

6.2.1 Attaching the lashing strap
1. Press the ratchet lock (1) and bring the ratchet handle (2) into position (A) (Fig. 1).
2. Extend the lashing strap (4) to the desired length and secure the hooks (Fig. 1).
3. Move the ratchet handle from position (B) to (C) and back to tension the strap.
4. Move the ratchet handle to the home position (B) (Fig. 2).
6.2.2 Releasing the lashing strap
1. Press the ratchet lock (1) and bring the ratchet handle (2) into position (A) (Fig. 1).
6.2.3 Retracting the lashing strap
1. Put on safety goggles.
2. Hold the strap/hook firmly with one hand to prevent injury. Hold the strap/hook until the
strap is fully retracted.
WARNING: The strap can retract quickly. Briefly press the button (3).
3. Briefly press the button (3) to automatically retract the strap.
7 Storage
Store the lashing strap only in dry indoor spaces with low heating, protected from sunlight

and mechanical damage.
Never dry or store the lashing strap close to the fire or places with increased temperature.

Never store the lashing strap together with chemicals. In the event of contact with chemi-

cals, the lashing strap must be neutralised immediately.
8 Maintenance
Repairs to the lashing straps may only be carried out if the information regarding the manu-

facturer, material and maximum permissible tensile load is clearly designated on the label.
Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer or by persons authorised by the man-

ufacturer. Following repair, the manufacturer or the person authorised by the manufacturer
must ensure that the maximum permissible tensile load of the lashing straps as originally
specified on the label is maintained.
9 Disposal
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory
guidelines.
