removed from it, at any time, by
pressing key (5).
To switch the set off, press key (1) © .
The spot (12) continues to glow.
Here are a few useful tips:
When you have finished viewing in
the evening or if you are going to -
be away.for a.while we recommend
you to turn the set off at the power
switch (18).
~— When broadcasting time has come
to an end your TV set will switch
off automatically if no picture is
received for 5 minutes.
Volume
The volume is adjusted by means of
keys (4) + and —. On the screen you
see the display, so that you can check
the setting.

Menu: Volume
By pressing the red button (9) the
menu: Volume is called up. The vol-
ume can be adjusted by means of
button (4) + or —.
Sound on/off
In order to switch the volume tempo-
rarily off (the telephone is ringing, or
the sound from the TV set interferes
with conversation, etc.) press key
(11) tf. The symbol & now appears
on the screen, mixed into the picture.
The sound comes back when you
press key (11) or the +/— keys.
Selecting the channel
1) Briefly press yellow key (7) P. The
following menu display now appears
on the screen; it enables you to set
up the channel step by step and store
this information:

The- white arrow. indicates. the.function
which can be adjusted at that particu-
lar moment.
On pressing the coloured keys, the
arrow €
jumps to the functions
(marked in the same colours) on the
screen.
2) If you know the channel numbers
of your transmitters, you can select
the channel (transmitter) directly and
store this information. The white arrow
is at first to the right of CH/CC and
next to it: Press red key (9) to select
CH and CC.
Now key in (keys 1 to 0) the channel
numbers. For channels 1 to 9 press
first key 0.
Example: Channel
3: Keys 0 and 3
Channel 42: Keys 4 and 2
Channel 50: Keys 5 and 0.
When you have keyed in the channel
number, the white arrow jumps to the
right next to PR € _ . Now key in the
programme number, for instance, 1 for
the first programme, 2 for the 2nd
programme, etc., using the number
keys.

When the programme number has
been keyed in, PR starts to blink. If
you now press green key (8), the
channel is stored on the selected pro-
gramme position.
For the selection and storage of other
TV transmitters, press red key (9). The
white arrow now appears on the right
next to CH/CC and you proceed as |
described above.
In order to remove the menu display
from the screen picture, press key (5).
Note: When the channel number has
been keyed in, the white arrow jumps
automatically next to PR € , on its
right. By pressing key +, you select
automatically the next programme
position and PR starts to blink. For
storage press green key (8).
3) If you do not know the channel
numbers of your transmitters, the
automatic channel tuner will search
for and find the channels.
To make the menu display appear,
press yellow key (7) P. Pressing blue
key (6) causes the white arrow to
appear on the right of the tuning sym-
bol
+-<€
, next to it. By pressing key
+ you start the automatic tuner to
move forward, or back by pressing
key —. It runs through all TV and cable
channels and stops at the next work-
ing channel. Restart the procedure by
pressing + or — until you have found
the channel you want.
When you press green key (8), the
white arrow appears on the right of
PR <_ , next to it. Now use the num-
ber (PR blinks) and store the channel
number by pressing green key (8).
To remove the menu display from the
screen, press key (5).

Note: When you have used yellow key
(7) P to display the menu, you can
make channel numbers run on by
pressing (4) + or — (briefly pressed:
The channels are individually indexed
forward; keeping your finger on the
key: The channel numbers run on).
When you have found your channel,
store it as described above.
